AI Algorithm Engineer
Mobileye China R&D Center is looking for a highly motivated AI Algorithm Engineer to join our team. You will design and optimize algorithms that enable precise, scalable, and automated generation of semantic maps for autonomous vehicles. Your work will focus on transforming raw sensor inputs into structured, machine-readable map representations. This role is critical to enabling real-time localization, path planning, and scene understanding in autonomous systems. Specifically, you will be working on the REM solution, a unique autonomous driving technology innovated by Mobileye. The REM solution, developed based on large amount of road and driving experience data as well as AI technology, is a crowdsourced and continuously updated map which digitizes precisely what autonomous driving vehicles need. This solution has entered mass production on multiple vehicle models, and we are currently dedicated to enhancing the generalization ability of the algorithm.
What will your job look like:
- Develop and refine algorithms for detecting and modeling map features (e.g., geometry, semantic, etc.) from multi-modal sensor data.
- Implement spatial reasoning and topological mapping techniques to structure sematic map layers.
- Create scalable pipelines for map data creation, optimization, and map updates using AI/ML models and traditional geometric approaches.
- Work on large-scale datasets from autonomous driving fleets to train, validate, and improve algorithms.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code and conduct code reviews. Inspire others to be their best in daily job.
All you need is:
- M.S. or PhD. in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Outstanding coding skills and proficient in algorithms with Python, C/C++, MATLAB, etc.
- Strong product background and hands on experiences in building product-quality computer vision, deep learning and general AI technologies. Intensive experience with at least one DL framework such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- 3+ years of experience in algorithm development for mapping, robotics, or computer vision applications.
- Highly motivated self-starter/self-learner in full stack of technologies.
- Strong oral/ written communication in Mandarin and English.
- A great team player.
Nice to have:
- Experience with HD map structures, geospatial data processing, or SLAM algorithms will be a plus.
- Interested in and thoughtful about the diverse AI technology (CNNs, GNNs, transformer and different domains of detection, segmentation, LLM, AGI, etc.)
