The position:
We are looking for an AV Function R&D Support Engineer for L2+ systems to join our excellent China Local Project & Product Execution team.
Our ideal candidate has a significant automotive technical background, engineering capability, understandings & studies of autonomous vehicles, and autonomous driving function evaluation & R&D support capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to take part in the Automated Driving revolution.
You will become part of a winning team that have been working on the most advanced projects in the world, including Mobileye SuperVision and Chauffer solutions.
What will your job look like?
· You will act as Mobileye’s technical expert, and support the development, integration, testing, and delivery activities for Mobileye’s full ODD NOP functions.
· Lead & execute L2/L2+ function V&V activities, coordinate the resources of ME headquarter and China teams, to promote the local R&D, integrations, tests & issue investigations of Mobileye’s AV system, perform function release quality control & evaluation by implementing online tests & offline data analysis.
· Plan & execute functional test cases based on function definitions, requirements, designs & industry standards. Generate evaluation reports, organize & tracking test issues, and perform close-loop validations.
· On-site support OEMs’ functional experience shaping & technical support activities.
· Quickly respond, locate and solve technical issues on-site. Manage issue-solving processes.
· Arrange, install & maintain testing tools & equipment on vehicle & on field.
· Utilize event data & extended test data for issue validations & KPI evaluations.
· Organize & perform autonomous driving function demo & benchmark tests.
All you need is:
· 3~8 years’ experience in technical roles in the automotive industry, preferably production autonomous driving function R&D and validation fields.
· BA/BSc. from a leading university (MSc. / MBA is an advantage).
· Fluent English (written and spoken).
· Fluent Chinese (written and spoken).
· Engineering mindset, critical thinking, hands-on capability.
· Comprehensive knowledge of AV & ADAS functions’ definitions, characters, performances, corner cases & assessments, functions such as NOP/NOA, urban AV driving, and L2~L4 advanced AV solutions.
· Rich experiences in AV & ADAS functional testing & evaluations, great understandings on NCAP, ISO, i-VISTA, ECE and other function evaluation procedures, test environment set-ups & operations, and data analysis.
· Good knowledge on vehicle EE & ECU components, proficient skills to use tools for CAN, Ethernet, diag, testing…
· Good technical knowledge on AV data collection, transmission, processing & analysis.
· Willingness to frequently travel to Shanghai, Ningbo, Changchun & other Mobileye global sites for customer support tasks, and join domestic road-test trips.
· C1/C2 driver license.
· C++ or other coding capabilities - an advantage.
· Knowledge and experience with Linux OS - an advantage.
· PM experiences - an advantage.
· Worked with Mobileye - an advantage.
