As part of the AV project management team, the Validation team is responsible for online performance testing as well as offline validation analysis to provide accurate and persistent feedback on every cutting-edge technology that enables Autonomous Driving Capabilities - sensing, maps, control, etc.
The process starts from the point of new systems design with the architecture department, leading the day-to-day experiments, analyzing data and issues, and managing end-to-end data pipeline. We provide AV development groups with a clear view of the AV functionality's performance and follow up with other groups. We work closely with the Operation and Validation group to develop our tools and infrastructures to enable our daily operations.
