We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer who specializes in both EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and hardware validation to join our team at Mobileye. In this dual role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility and robust performance of our products. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in electromagnetic theory, EMC testing methodologies, hardware validation techniques, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and validate products, ensuring they meet the highest standards for both electromagnetic performance and overall functionality.
The position
What your job will look like:
- EMC Engineer Responsibilities:
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) assessments for new and existing products to ensure compliance with relevant international standards and regulations.
- Design and implement EMC test plans, considering radiated emissions, conducted emissions, susceptibility, and other EMC-related factors.
- Collaborate with design teams to provide EMC design guidelines and recommendations during the product development lifecycle.
- Perform electromagnetic simulations and analysis to predict and mitigate potential EMC issues.
- Develop and oversee EMC testing procedures, including setup, execution, and result interpretation.
- Utilize various EMC testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and anechoic chambers.
- Analyze and interpret test results, identifying areas for improvement and proposing corrective actions. Generate comprehensive EMC test reports, clearly communicating findings and recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Hardware Validation Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive hardware validation plans, including defining test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with design teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective hardware validation strategies.
- Conduct functional, performance, and reliability testing on hardware components and systems.
- Design and implement validation tests using various testing methodologies, including automated test frameworks where applicable.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues, working collaboratively with design engineers to find timely solutions.
- Analyze validation results, generate detailed validation reports, summarizing test outcomes and any necessary actions.
All you need is:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as an EMC Engineer, Hardware Validation Engineer, or similar combined role.
- In-depth knowledge of electromagnetic theory, EMC standards (such as FCC, CISPR, IEC), and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using EMC test equipment and software for measurements and simulations.
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot EMC-related and hardware issues and propose effective solutions.
