We are looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team. This position involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient working environment for all employees.
The position
What will your job look like:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Monitor and maintain the facility’s infrastructure to ensure it meets safety and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues, including lighting, temperature, and equipment malfunctions.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services.
- Conduct regular inspections of the building and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Handle emergency repairs and respond to facility-related service requests in a timely manner.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order necessary parts and materials.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with facility setup and event support when required.
All you need is:
- 5+ years of experience as a facility maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in facility management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team and external vendors.
- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Experience working in a hi-tech or corporate environment.
- Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management.
- Certifications related to facility management (e.g., FM, HVAC, electrical).
- Experience with computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software.
