The position

We are looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team. This position involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient working environment for all employees. 

What will your job look like:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Monitor and maintain the facility’s infrastructure to ensure it meets safety and operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues, including lighting, temperature, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Coordinate and oversee external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Handle emergency repairs and respond to facility-related service requests in a timely manner.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order necessary parts and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with facility setup and event support when required.

All you need is:

  • 5+ years of experience as a facility maintenance technician or in a similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in facility management.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical systems.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team and external vendors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
  • Advantages:

  • Certifications related to facility management (e.g., FM, HVAC, electrical).
  • Experience with computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software.
