About the team:
We are seeking a hands-on Building Systems & Technical Projects Specialist to join our Facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing operation, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of electrical and building systems across the company’s facilities. You will serve as a key technical focal point, ensuring system reliability, supporting daily operational needs, leading infrastructure improvement initiatives, and overseeing contractors and service providers. The position combines technical expertise, hands-on maintenance activities, system performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to support a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment. This position requires on-site presence at our Jerusalem facilities 5 days per week.
What will your job look like:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve HVAC and refrigeration systems across company facilities.
- Perform hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, inspections, testing, and day-to-day technical activities.
- Support and troubleshoot chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, fans, pumps, valves, chilled-water systems, VRF/VRV systems, compressors, and related controls.
- Maintain and troubleshoot commercial refrigeration systems, including refrigerators, freezers, cold rooms, and refrigeration equipment supporting commercial kitchens.
- Monitor HVAC and refrigeration systems through BMS and control systems, investigate alarms and abnormal performance, and drive issues through resolution.
- Identify root causes of recurring failures and support corrective actions and system improvements.
- Work closely with the HVAC System Owner, technicians, contractors, and service providers during maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and technical projects.
- Document maintenance activities and faults and ensure proper closure of work orders in the facility management system.
All you need is:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC and/or refrigeration systems in commercial, industrial, high-tech, or other complex facilities – must.
- Practical experience with central HVAC systems such as chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, fans, pumps, chilled-water systems, and associated controls.
- Experience with commercial refrigeration systems, compressors, refrigerators, freezers, and cold-room equipment.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose faults independently and practically in the field.
- Experience working with BMS/control systems, including alarms, setpoints, temperatures, trends, and equipment status – an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Experience working with HVAC/refrigeration contractors and service providers.
- Relevant HVAC/refrigeration technical certification or professional training – an advantage.
- Strong ownership, curiosity, self-learning ability, and a practical problem-solving approach.
