About the team:
Mobileye is looking for an experienced HW R&D Director to join our Core AV Platform group and lead the development of next-generation automotive and autonomous-driving products.The role will lead a multidisciplinary organization responsible for HW board design PCB layout, mechanical R&D, and Design for Test (DFT), covering the full product lifecycle from architecture through validation, industrialization, and mass production.
What your job will look like
- Lead the HW board design, PCB layout, mechanical R&D, and DFT teams.
- Manage team leaders, set priorities, strengthen technical and managerial capabilities, and mentor highly talented engineers, technical leaders, and researchers.
- Own end-to-end HW product development, from requirements and architecture through qualification and production release.
- Work directly with highly technical automotive customers, understand their requirements, and lead technical discussions and decision-making.
- Ensure products meet performance, reliability, cost, manufacturability, testability, and automotive-quality targets.
- Lead complex technical investigations involving internal teams, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
- Lead the transition from prototype development to industrialization and high-volume production.
- Support technology selection, product roadmap, resource planning, recruitment, and organizational development.
All you need is
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in multidisciplinary hardware product development, including 5+ years managing engineering teams and leading team leaders or managers.
- Proven experience leading products from architecture through qualification and mass production
- Strong system-level expertise in high-speed digital/PCB design, embedded systems, power, SoC integration, and communication interfaces, with cross-functional understanding of mechanical, software, validation, manufacturing, cost, and reliability
- Proven experience working directly with technical customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Fluent English, spoken and written.
- Experience with automotive ECUs, ADAS, autonomous-driving, or central-compute platforms.
