Mobileye is looking for a Product manager to join our Product Safety team, developing innovative approaches to design architecture to ensure the safety of autonomous vehicle (AV) systems. Safety is a core decision driver at Mobileye, shaping development priorities, project timelines, and regulatory approvals for our most advanced programs. Proving the safety of an AV is among the most complex and critical challenges in the automotive industry. It requires a deep understanding of the complete system architecture, the ability to translate safety concepts into precise, actionable requirements, and the creation of rigorous methodologies and advanced tools for verification and validation. This involves strict compliance with relevant safety standards, thorough analysis of technical documentation and safety manuals, and meticulous tracking and documentation of every requirement, risk, and mitigation measure.  

What Will Your Job Look Like?

  • Design safety architecture for optical path for AV solutions
  • Contribute to the development of a large-scale autonomous system from early design stages through deployment.
  • Identify, analyze, and document potential safety risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand safety expectations and with suppliers to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Integrate safety considerations into the system architecture in a way that ensures safety without overburdening system performance.
  • Propose and implement new methods, tools, and processes to improve safety assurance activities.
  • Review and extract relevant data from safety manuals, datasheets, and technical documentation to support safety evaluations.

All You Need Is:

  • Familiarity in optics and camera systems, including imaging principles, lens characteristics, and sensor performance considerations.
  • Strong system-level reasoning and analytical thinking skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in the development, safety assurance, or product of complex, high-performance software or software-hardware systems.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong written communication skills for authoring safety requirements, risk assessments, and technical reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working effectively with both customers and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with camera and sensor interface protocols used in automotive systems, such as MIPI, I²C, FPD-Link, and GMSL - an advantage
  • Deep understanding of safety standards and concepts such as ISO 26262 and ISO/PAS 21448 (SOTIF) - an advantage
  • Proven expertise in designing and developing safety-critical systems - an advantage
  • Familiarity with safety analysis techniques such as Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment, FMEA, and FTA- - an advantage
