About the team:
What will your job look like:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data Engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional development.
- Serve as a Hands-On Team Leader, actively contributing to architecture, design, development, and code reviews.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of complex Data Engineering projects, from requirements and design through production deployment and operational support.
- Design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and distributed data processing systems.
- Drive the evolution of our cloud-based data platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Analytics teams to deliver robust data solutions.
- Work with modern big data technologies including distributed processing frameworks, data lakes, metadata management systems, and cloud-native services.
- Establish engineering best practices, operational excellence, and high-quality development standards across the team.
- Lead technical decision-making and serve as a key subject matter expert within the Data organization.
All you need Is:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience building and operating large-scale data platforms and infrastructure.
- Proven experience designing and implementing complex data pipelines in production environments.
- Strong expertise in Python, including data processing frameworks and libraries such as Pandas.
- Deep understanding of Data Engineering, Data Infrastructure, Data Architecture, and Analytics ecosystems.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and distributed data processing systems.
- Hands-on experience with modern big data technologies such as Apache Flink, Data Lakes, Metadata Management solutions, and large-scale processing frameworks.
- Proven experience leading technical projects from concept to production deployment.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers, either as a Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Engineering Manager.
- Strong ownership mentality with the ability to drive execution in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with containerized environments and Kubernetes-based architectures.
